Accutane – The modern medicine to treat the teenagers’ acne
Accutane stimulates the mitotic activity of the skin, thins its stratum conium, and, in the case of acne, reduces the growth of kamedonous, loosening the skin around them, facilitates emptying of the “keratin plugs”. The drug is regarded as one of the most effective modern means for the prevention and treatment of acne at the adolescents. The preparation is also often effective in the severe forms of acne which are resistant to the conventional therapies.
RESULTS OF TAKING ACCUTANE.
Accutane is appointed interior in the form of capsules, from 0.5 mg / kg per day. Approximately 4 weeks later the dose should be refined depending on the efficiency and tolerability of the drug ranging from 0.1 to 1 mg per 1 kg of the body per day, not exceeding 2 mg/kg. The treatment course lasts 16 weeks. Capsules should be taken with food at the low dose 1 time a day, at the large dose – in several stages. If necessary, the repeat courses of treatment should be done not less than in 8 weeks.
