Estrace and vaginal dryness A form of estrogen is called Estrace. It is sex hormone of female produced by the ovaries.

Estrogen helps many processes in the body. Estrace is necessary to deal with menopause symptoms such as irritation, “burning”, vaginal dryness and hot flashes.

Besides, Estrace includes replacement of estrogen in women with ovarian failure and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.

Sometimes Estrace is used as a treatment of cancer in men and women. This medicine can be also used for other purposes not mentioned in the medication guide.

Dosing and Administration

Take Estrace exactly as it was prescribed for you. It is forbidden to use the medication in larger amounts. Follow doctor’s recommendations. Have regular mammograms and physical exams. While using Estrace on a monthly basis examine your breasts for lumps. Your doctor should see your progress every 2 to 5 months to determine your dose and results.

If you miss the dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your scheduled next dose skip the missed dose. To make up the missed dose do not take extra medicine.
